The Blatherings of a Mad Redhead!

 I have to rant!!!!!!!!

I went and took a shower this morning and got ready for my class that I have to drive to Bothel to teach. When I walked out in the livingroom I found that the Everett City Public Works Dept. was tearing up the street in front of my house. They gave us no heads up at all about this!!!!!! So now there's a back-ho sitting four inches off the bumper of my jeep parked sideways across the street and a pump truck sitting just a few feet off the back of my jeep in the same position, effectively closing in my car!!!!!!

I went out and asked them to move one or the other so I can get my car out to go to work and they said they had already started and couldn't move until it was all done. How the hell am I supposed to get out?!?

When I asked why they didn't give us a heads up on the situation so we could have been prepaired and had the cars parked down the street, the guy very flipantly said they didn't have to.

ASS HOLES!!!!!!

So now I have to either wait until they are done or call someone to come and get me. This is not the way to start off a Monday... especially when I already have PMS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I do not have ADD or ADHD or anything like that... so why do I get myself in these stupid situations????? Like my life isn't complicated enough, I had decided that since I took all of last year off from the competition circut of bellydance (I didn't even attend one to support, lots of family stuff) that I would go ahead and compete in as many categories in as many competitions as I could. Not to mention run my own competition for the sixth year.

So if I'm practising my heart out for that, plus teaching my regular classes, plus coaching my students individually on their competition peices.... why the HELL did i decide to not only go after the second level of the An Tir Hunt Guild Challenge and I told my apprentice brother that I would kick his ass at Kingdom Bardic Champions... I told my laurel too so now there's no way out of it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

With my husbands father's life dwindling away before our eyes, I'm forced to be reminded of my own inmortality. How short my life has been and yet look how much I've done! It seems I arrived to find my soul mate so late in life and then again when I look back this week I see that we have been together for nearly 12 years. For so many that is a long time, longer than I was with my first husband. 

Time is such a thing that you don't really think about it until you are forced. Hug those you love and remind them why you love them. 

A friend of mine and I were sitting around just before New Years discussing the fact that rudness seems to be the new black. 

For instance; I was standing in line at the bank, had been for about five minutes, when this woman walked right in and cut in line right in front of me. She turned to me and said, "I'm in a hurry and I don't have time to wait, I hope you don't mind." And before I could say anything  the next available teller was in fact available and she breezed right over to him. Leaving me to stand there with my mouth wide open. I just couldn't believe the nerve and the gaul.  

This has been going on for months, people cutting me off on the road from three lanes over to get to the exit that they should have known was coming up and merged appropriatly a mile further back... then flipping me off when I honk my horn at them as the nearly graze my bumper. Women taking the abnoxious rug-rats to stores and allowing them to throw these hissy fits about candy as they are paying for their groceries and getting upset with me (not their "should have swallowed" progony) when I sigh because I have to wait fo rthem to finish their temper tantrum.

So my friend and I decided that this new year is the Year of the Bitch! When people do stupid things we will no longer be standing quietly by and trying not to cause a scene. We will instead say each and every little thing that comes into our brains.... thus Bitch.
